Our friendly local guide will meet up with you at the hotel’s lobby at 08:00am. Then, he/she will brief you through the route you will take for cycling today. Remember to bring camera, sunglasses, sunscreen and comfortable cycling clothes. After the briefing is done, you will start with a transfer to Bang Pa-in. Time to Bang Pa-in will be 1.5 hours depending on traffic.
Disembarking in Bang Pa-in we will ride from the historic railway station through the backstreets of the town past the royal palace. A large cargo ferry will take us across the scenic expanse of the Chao Phraya River from Bang Lane to Bang Paeng. Riding north towards the island of Ayutthaya, we will cycle through back lanes of the communities along the banks of the Chao Phraya River with our destination being Wat Phutthai Sawan built in 1353 AD by King Ramathibodi I where he first settled before establishing Ayutthaya as the capital city in 1350. Facing the Chao Phraya river and the ancient capital on the opposite bank, Saint Joesph’s Church was built by French missionaries in 1666. Wat Chai Watanaram is one of Ayutthaya’s most famous sights, a 16th century temple where the king performed religious ceremonies.
Sitting on the western edge of the city, we will enjoy a delicious lunch on the banks of the Chao Phraya with a scenic view of the Sri Suriyothai Park and the ruins of the royal palace. Cross over to the island of Ayutthaya our cycling tour of the Ayutthaya Historical Park begins with our first stop at Wat Lokayasutharam's dreaming reclining Buddha. The next stop is Wat Phrasrisanphet which was the prototype temple for the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Finally we take a van back to Bangkok from Ayutthaya. From start to finish this is an 11 hour trip. Lunch and snacks are included in the tour. Depending on the speed of the group more or less time will be spent at each place.
Tour ends with a farewell from our local guide and driver at the hotel or you can also book your next trip to visit Pattaya or Vietnam. Thank you for using our services. We look forward to serve you again.
